The Great British Sewing Bee Live show at the Excel Centre was created in response to the popularity of the TV show by the same name!
Barley Massey was invited to host the Drop In Sewing Clinic and Barley invited Tree from the DIY style channel Stitchless TV to co-host with her. Between them they devised and had a lot of fun delivering a daily programme of activities in this area of the show! Including:
Daily “Transformation Challenge” or “Stitch Off” between Barley & Tree and Ex-Sewing Bee contestants or SewStars from the sewing community. On the last day members of the public turned their hand!
Daily Upcycling workshops making beautiful products designed by Barley & Tree made of waste clothing / textiles.
Rota of “Stitch Doctors” that visitors could consult with on their sewing questions and issues.
