Welcome to a special Fabrications Craft Club evening!
In support of Traid's #SecondHandFirst
campaign, the focus of the evening will be a Clothes Swap and quick & simple mending and revamping solutions!
Go through your wardrobe and bring in some items for swapping! This will operate in an informal way! Any garments left over at the end will be donated to Traid.
For the mending / revamping element, either bring along items in need of some love and attention or transform clothes you find in the swap. Barley and other regular craft clubbers will be on hand to advise on how you might approach your garment repairs or transformations and offer some re styling advise. There will also be a pick n mix of haberdashery to use.

(Normally our Craft Club is a fortnightly open studio night where you can come as a group of friends or on your own, meet other local crafters in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Tea and biscuits will be provided, sometimes club participants bring in home made cakes, which is always a well received surprise!
If you have attended any of our classes, the craft club offers extra support, an opportunity to practise new techniques. Bring along your personal projects, SOS (save our stitches!) or making dilemmas (be it knitting, crochet, sewing etc), get some advice from Barley or other club participants, get access to our workshop facilities.
(If you would like to learn how to use a sewing machine and basic machine sewing skills, we offer the following classes"Provisional Driving" - introduction to using a sewing machine, 'Introduction to garment alterations' , 'Refresh your Wardrobe' and "Improvers Sewing"
