Learn Goldwork Embroidery – Papillon Extravagance!
20th October 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm£55
Join Bella Lane and explore the simple way to start embroidering with goldwork threads, using this easy but exotic Butterfly design. Without complication you will learn and stitch and finish off some of the traditional wire thread techniques. This class is a practical project where you will start and finish this work on the spot.
Goldwork embroidery is one of the richest techniques of hand embroidery. It has been practised from ancient times, using gold, silver, copper and wire threads, originally in ecclesiastical costumes in Europe. Today goldwork embroidery appears in art forms and in fashion. This beautiful design will take you to the next level of embroidery, learning and stitching a lovely project. Bring your reading or stitching glasses if necessary, as the work is fine!

Bella was lucky and she managed to win the Award sponsored and prize given by the Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers at Trinity House.
